there are a lot of good people and a few very bad people in the community, I get that. but the bad ones are very dangerous. it’s a lot to deal with.

please keep the men who abused me as a child away from me

please keep Jesuits and Catholics away from me

please keep douchebag/cokehead hipsters away from me

everyone else is okay, I’m very sorry, this has been immensely difficult

I truly cannot wait to move to the west coast and leave Montreal altogether

Montreal is one long, sad, traumatic memory for me.

terrible treatment of children and other vulnerable people in Quebec, horrendous.

shocking, I still can’t get over it.

People in Ontario and on the west coast are SO NICE.

so nice and gentle and kind to me, consistently, for years. at work, at school, in public, dealing with the government, with doctors, dentists, nurses, retail workers, so nice. even down in California where I was warned ahead of time that I would hate it and the people would be rude to me because I’m not aesthetically pleasing enough lol my experience was nice people everywhere I went. super nice, some very nice yuppie even gave me a ride in his car when he found me stranded on the outskirts of San Francisco, unsolicited. He rolled up and asked me if I needed help, politely and in no way creepily drove me to the nearest bus stop so I could catch a ride into the city. Didn’t judge me even though I was a trainwreck.

like, so nice!

I love Quebec so much but the people are so meanspirited to each other, it’s exhausting

I fit in better with the whole surfer hippie tech yuppie peace and love vibe goin on in California. Feels good to me there. I need to figure out a way to move there permanently… sigh.
