DARVO and the legal definition of being a danger to society

My landlord Lucie Belair has destroyed her own home and broke her own foot, deliberately, as well as physically assaulting her tenants (I wasn’t the first, she assaulted my roommate Sarah first), that’s the legal definition of being a danger to yourself and others.

I have never physically assaulted anyone, never damaged my apartment, in fact I’m the one who keeps trying to fix things. I have certainly never deliberately broken any of my limbs or injured my body like Lucie did to herself.

Lucie also called the cops on our very gentle, sweet and kind next door neighbours Helene and her family when Lucie refused to pay for her 50% of the fence in the backyard, instead of paying her legal share of the fence she called the police on the neighbours and tried to charge them with trespassing. In their own backyard. For installing and paying for the half of the fence that Lucie, who is technically a millionaire, was legally responsible for.

Helene and her family have been lovely to live next to since 2011. Almost 15 years with nothing but peace and pleasantries with them, and all other neighbours.

Christopher and his family next door also very nice, he offered to let me use his workshop once when I was building a shelf in the backyard and was too shy to do so. Lucie almost called the cops on them too when they were installing a new fence and I convinced her not to because at that point I had only good interactions with them.

a couple of years later I was having a very bad migraine experience that was making my head hurt so much that I was vomiting and had reached my limit living in this disgusting apartment so I yelled out loud “owwwww!” and I thought I heard Christopher and his wife and kids chuckling at me (understandably, I would probably chuckle too if I heard my neighbour making weird noises) and I foolishly left them a note saying “if you think my suffering is funny then you’re garbage people”.

but full disclosure, I had nothing but good things to say about ALL of my neighbours until that point. when I realized Maude hated me, and unfortunately Christopher is friends with her so by extension they hate me, the note didn’t help, but then again neither did laughing at me when I was at my lowest, so… sigh.

I know I never did anything at all to make Maude hate me. She decided to hate me for no reason, even when she knew my landlord was lying about being my roommate and lying about the state of the apartment and saw with her own eyes how disgusting it was. Maude doesn’t trust her boyfriend so single women around her suffer the consequences I guess. Toxic relationships are toxic. Not surprising that of all the neighbours’ kids, it’s these ones I’ve overheard bullying other kids in the hood. They’re meaner than the other kids in the community, it’s sad.

I like my neighbours and wish them well when I move to the west coast. But man… some of them are messed up worse than I am, despite them having more money than I do. Sad.

Beach life, good people, healthy living, healthy relationships, excellent art and film and music, I’m moving to the damn beach away from these awful people.
